Kris Ellis brings nearly 20 years of experience to Eiguren Ellis, working with general businesses, social and health care licensure and various regulatory issues as a healthcare lobbyist and public policy adviser. As a former state legislator, she has excellent working relationships with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle and has earned the respect of officials from across the state. Her work as a lobbyist has achieved a strong and consistent record of success for her clients, including working with state agencies and lawmakers on legislation to license midwives, ensuring they can legally practice in Idaho, and most recently obtaining prescription privileges for psychologists.
Kris is the former executive director of the Idaho Assisted Living Association and guided its merger with the Idaho Health Care Association, adding to her background in public policy and the health care industry. During her service in the Idaho House of Representatives, Kris served on the Health and Welfare, Business, and Revenue and Taxation Committees and was Chairman of the Task Force on Health and Welfare Savings. Kris also has experience as a business owner in Boise and Coeur d’Alene, giving her important insights. She is currently the co-owner of a real estate and property management company and is a former restaurant owner.
Kris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Oregon State University. She is an avid runner, has competed in 14 marathons, and is the former head coach for the cross-country and track teams at Cole Valley Christian School.
